Our pre-season games start this coming Sunday Aug 29th. We have 2 games versus a Croatian team on Long Island. The reserve game starts at 4pm and the first team game starts at 5:45pm.
We will be leaving the Courtyard bar on 41st street and Queens Blvd at 2:15pm on Sunday for the reserve game.

1. Available
2. Driving (and able to take people with you)
3. Meeting at the Courtyard or making your own way to Long Island.
You will be informed of which game you will be playing in and full travel details once you reply and letting him you’re in.

After a very eventful and successful AGM this past Sunday at the Courtyard bar in Queens the new managers for the 1st, Reserve and Over 30′s were voted on. Here is the new line-up:

We are using the AGM as a window of opportunity to collect your ad materials, plus the payment, has to be both, although we’ll take the payment no problem. This is a great opportunity to collect money, ad later,
if no add, just donate the money, at this point. I will be present to collect. Dont forget the special that is set up for players and members , 1/4 page
for $50!

AGM to elect new coaches and committee members
When: August 1st at 12PM
Where: Courtyard Bar, Woodside Queens.
If you feel you are suitable and would like to put you name forward for any position let yourself be known. All positions are up for general vote except President. Scotty will hold until after Jubilee Party on October 2nd. Don’t worry about stepping on toes if you feel you have the time and energy to do the job you will have an chance to state your case at the AGM.

Result : 4-2 Win
Shamrocks 1st team returned to winning ways after a pretty dismal start to the spring season with a good win in the Bronx last night.
Goals from Shawn Barron after their keeper dropped the ball at his feet and a peno from Dave “Gareth Bale” Harvey saw us take a well deserved first half lead. While all that was going on Sean Kelly was making his way through as many positions as possible. Obviously Paddy & Robbie still haven’t found the right place for him yet. I could think of a few places meself!!
The second half started well and we were soon 3 up after Riley slotted home. Then the kiss of death came from the sideline when Paddy called out for us to keep a clean sheet. No more than 60 seconds later and the Romanians had scored albeit from an offside over the top ball. They soon added a 2nd to put a bit of a scare into the Rocks.
But with Baron adding a 2nd and the midfield controlling the rest of the game, the points we in the bag. With 3 games to go against lower opposition its all to play for in the race for promotion.
